MS Dhoni was the only player who had no connection with the city his team was a franchise of. Despite no direct links with Chennai city, he has had such an influence on its citizens that they see him as their THALA which means (Sardar or Leader).

He has pleasingly carried out his role as the Head of the team which impressed people in many ways or can say in every way imaginable. This characteristic of him is what makes him stand out amongst other players on other teams.
